Frequently Asked Questions

Below you can navigate through some of the common questions we’re frequently asked here at The Bloom Barn.

If you have an enquiry that is not answered by this page do not hesitate to contact us.

Our farm is not currently open to the public. However, for the past few months we have been working on a project that will invite the general public into our farm to get a taste for what we do – harvesting their own sweet williams, creating a bouquet and enjoying the farm experience.

You can find further information about any future upcoming events on our Pick your Own Sunflowers Page page.

The flowers that we grow are generally seasonal, however we do have set blooms we’re dedicated to growing for the majority of the year.  While we’re consistently looking at increasing the variety of flowers that we go, below is a general list of the flowers that we grow throughout the year.

Sunflowers                    Babies Breath             Alstroemeria                    Hydrangeas              Christmas Bush

Kangaroo Paw              Paper Daises              Chrysanthemums            Gomphrena               Proteas

Sweet William              Statice                         Chincherinchees              Snap Dragons           Gum

We’ve seen first-hand how COVID-19 has brought more awareness and assisted in educating the public about the quantity of imported flowers that come into Australia.

We grow all of our flowers on our farm in Peats Ridge. Although we are a smaller farm operation, we always strive to grow the best quality flowers. We have gradually increased the variety we grow, planting them in larger quantities which we know will bring longer-lasting, fresh quality flowers to everyone that we supply.

We bring our flowers to a variety of different markets between Newcastle and Sydney. We can be located every Sunday at Newcastle Farmers Markets in Broadmeadow, as well as other markets on Saturdays including Warner’s Bay, Spears Point and Pelican.

To find out where we’re headed this weekend, visit our Contact page. We also frequently update our Instagram and Facebook with the market’s we’re headed to!

We have recently expanded our offerings to include weddings and events.

Please feel free to contact us via email or phone to enquire about your upcoming nuptials or events you may be hosting.

We offer custom and pre-arranged bouquets at every market we attend and you are more than welcome to book ahead and pick-up from the markets.

While we do not have a set delivery service, we are always more than happy to consider your request.

As we are based in Peats Ridge, we offer delivery throughout the Central Coast and to most suburbs up to Newcastle.

We supply our flowers wholesale to a handful of amazing florists and we are always looking to increase our clientele. If you’d like to know more about our offerings, we’d be more than happy to supply you with a weekly list of our offerings and prices.

Please email us at bloom@thebloombarn.com.au to receive our weekly list of flowers and their respective prices.

At The Bloom Barn, we hold our staff in very high regard as they pass on their amazing personalities and knowledge to our customers at each market. Our staff at the farm take ownership in the roles that they are given and we are always looking for extra staff on the farm to take on some of these roles including planting, picking and bunching.

Our farm is a place where you have the opportunity to grow and harvest quality flowers in a positive and motivated environment.
If you’re interested in working with us, please feel free to email us at bloom@thebloombarn.com.au as we’re expecting a very busy Spring and Christmas season.
